Foot In Mouth Syndrome

A woman who I used to work with and who retired called tonight to catch up. Her children are grown and she has grandchildren. First she told me that although she loves to travel she has never wanted to go to China - she said it would be just millions and millions of people with black hair. Then she said the amazing part. "Shari, I really think it is very noble what you are doing. I think you are crazy to do it, but you certainlly are noble to take some kid in like that."Now what the heck am I supposed to say to that one? Oh yes, we spent years, thousands of dollars, and many nights of worry and heartache to look good? NOT! Not to mention the fact what is the problem with a sea of black hair (and honestly, there was as much hair diversity in Beijing as around where I live - hairdressers are making money with color there same as here!)
